When did the mini k cease production????? our clubman is a 7/71, so it must be one of the 1st to come off the production line. A mate of mine has 3 lift up door handle mini k's in his shed doing nothing.

Yep, Doogie, I think July 71 was very very early clubman era - I've got a 7/71fella too - a gt with a lot of missing parts, but it's numbered less than a 100, so I do like it  . I personally like the clubbie door k - i prefer the clubman doors but like the round nose look. Someone on here will surely know the first clubman date.
cheers!

my deluxe has mini K wiper indents does that count?

it has all matching mini deluxe body numbers. i have checked. not sure why it has the wiper indents tho.. maybe the late deluxes were made with them? :?

I'd say it's just when they tooled up for that panel. Probably nothing to do with the changing of the models.

Your stalk should only operate indicators and horn. It does incorporate a high beam flasher and a high beam lock (pull back/push forward) but it's inoperative becuase of the floor dipswitch. Why, who knows, because the floor switch is gay but like we always say, this is BMC.

If yours activates the hi beam its probably just been wired that way. I considered doing that for easy warning of speed cameras and other things but.. meh it wouldnt be original :)

You can leave the floor dip switch in place (inoperative) for originality. Then wire up the stalk flasher and dip switch. Then it would still look original. :)

its a 1970 mini k with lift up door handles, square tail lights, it has also got a cooper s front panel and cooper boot board mountings
1275 A+ metro turbo engine and box (not fitted with turbo)
hif 44
8.4inch disc's
binned the hydro and fitted dry suspension with hi-lo's

I think mine is a 69 K
Not very original at all, hopefully to be restored soon.
Has had a hard life, very rough around the edges.
But it is a K.
