I think it is Alfredo Costanzo. But I could be wrong.

Did The Mini K have reversing lights ie. Double filament 12 Volt 21/21 Watt Globe like the Leyland tail light ? This is something I never looked into when reverse lights actually came in on Minis. I know the later Vans had Revesing lights. But when were they first fitted to roundnose Minis ?

I'm having a few problems tryibng to find those 21w/21w globes Tony, do you know where we can reliably pick them up?

I get mine from Bursons, Repco, etc. motor parts stores. Sometimes they have to get them in as they aren't that common.

The Narva part number is 47005 (see following):

Cheers for that. I've tried the usual places and even the last place I found them from. When i approach the staff it's the usual response, "if it's not on the shelf we don't stock it" (read couldn't be bothered looking) garbage.

I might buy a few and stock up.

The photo is the farm. I don't know who the driver is. But it is not Alfie Costanzo. Alfie is not that tall and I think he had more hair in 1971. (I think he still had more hair than that when I knew him in the 80s. )

Take a look at the photo and look at something that you can clearly see that is Cooper S and not on any other Mini.
It is something visible.
No, it is not the inside mirror.
It not disk brakes.
It it not the Cooper S prefix on the engine number. (you must have very good eyesight to see that in the photo, for all I know it could have an 1100 motor for the photoshoot!)

We have thrown this thread way off line now. Just to sattisfy my own curiosity I had a look at my 12/1970 Mini K and there is no provision in the wiring for reverse light wires and the '2 screw' tail lights only have one connection going into the Indicator section. which means they did not come ot with any reversing lights. PS the wiring on my Mini K is untouched.

What seat did a Cooper S use? The same ones as the Deluxe or K.

No, I mean a specific Cooper S bit that should not really be on a GT.

Morry,
Do you mean the Cooper S wheel arch Trim?

Dave

Just for the record, below is a picture of the connectors for LH rear light in a correct SPO41 loom. The top one with four wires is for the stop/tail and the other with three is for the turn/reverse.

Didn't all clubbies come with high back seats with the headrest?

No. The headrests came in a year later.
