K & N prices have gone a bit silly in the last few years. I had a quote from Link for one of Han's tappered filters about 4 years ago at $165, I finally saved up enough so emailed Hans late last year, now they are $250+, not saving any more for one :(

I don't think it would make it to the muster like that  I took that picture when I was doing the timing chain :)

Will have to get some judges that accept bribes

I've got two of these sitting around. I had forgotten I wanted to get them fitted up for a change of engine bay scenery, so only got around to ringing up and asking about Unifilter elements for them. They want 45 dollars per filter to make up a pair of custom inserts...unfortunately the filter size is non-standard for both K&N, Ryco and Unifilter. But they do have an inner and outer cage to keep it all together.

Ive just realized why Ive been running this style of filter.... Its because Ive got a set of stub stacks fitted.... Im not 100% sure that they will fit inside of the K&N pancake style filter.... Id say they will foul on the filter. Dam....

Didn't think you were still interested after you saw the price sorry Hanra.

I'll write a note on my hand now and do it for you tonight.

any idea how much better air flow you would get?

Buy the stub stacks from Dr Mini - as per his post above.

I don't know if air flow is improved that much but I swear the throttle response improved slightly (could be a placebo effect though  ). Still sounds cool when you tell people you have stub stacks on your carby's

I found off idle response improved, with both SUs and Dellortos.
Vizard shows one similar in his book, reckoned it to be worth over 5% improved flow.
GR reckons any radius over 3mm works. My current ones are 5mm radius.

They must work- I've got 2 dyno day NA big block trophies to prove it.
