good to hear you got it back, but dont put your faith in a club lock, they dont do anything to stop a thief, they can just hacksaw your steering wheel etc.

sucks having to put an alarm/immobiliser on a classic car but for a daily driver its the way to go.

if a thief is bring a hacksaw to steal you car, then they are intent on stealing a mini. Most thefts of vehicles are for joyriding. Most thiefs are usually teens/20's.

for 80 bux a club is a little piece of mind. It wont stop the guy that really really wants you car, but its a visual deterent to the joyrider.

Insurance is always a good idea, Shannons put 10K on my car for less than $600 a year.

i had 6k with gio then they moved my policy to Shannons, only costs 260 a year, however my bmw, because it was a year too young costs me 1200 a year for 3K...

i've always have know that if someone really wants it then they will get it, i just want to make it as hard as possible now.

I knew someone who used to put a club on and not lock it, it wasn't one of the auto-lock ones, obviously.

This would act as a visual deterent, but if the determined thief did get in, chances are he'd notice as soon as he touched it, that the club was not locked, and save the steering wheel from being chopped.
This would only be beneficial obviously if you did get the car back. But also saves time locking and unlocking it.

So good to hear you got it back, can't remember the last time I heard that happen.

Cheers
Jonesy
