Jeff.............. mate i don't condone it, don't like it and don't tolerate it. Nothing was said by me personally because a 14yr old won't listen to his own parents let alone some anonymous on a forum (like me)............ Unfortunatly lessons will have to be learned the hard way it seems.............. whether it is thorugh a broken car, broken body or the cost of a life or not is unforseeable at the moment.

Meeni, as has been said earlier.... i think it is best that you keep your opinions/exploits to yourself. Due to your age and life experience, you cannot possibly understand the pain and suffering (mentally, financially and emotionally) that someone like Jeff experiences every day, which is why you need to be mindful of your thoughts and actions.

Mate, the harsh reality of life is that 99.99% of us on here have more driving experience in our little toe than you have in total. Now thats not meant to be rude to you in anyway, but it's just the truth.

Please Sean, it's imperative that you think before you leap........... If you continue to post thread like this one, i'm sure Poeee, Big Dan or Dr Trim will soon find it necessary to hand out a warning.

I just keep having visions of that 2 year old toddler visiting 2 doors down running out in front of this dickhead ......that was doing "nothing wrong"

Meeni you do not deserve that vehicle.

You state you have read the other thread - so you will fully understand my position on dickheads on the road and what should happen to them. In my book they should take away that car of yours and put it through a crusher for being such a dickwad. I cannot believe that you can show so much contempt for the rules and still plead "it's not my fault" and "I'm doing nothing wrong!" - and shame on anyone who panders to the kid. He needs a good swift kick up the ass not pats on the head.

To those in any car club that this dick'edd belongs to - I suggest that this idiot has proven to be a member NOT of good standing and should be expelled.

To those running this community - I suggest that this idiot has proven to be a member NOT of good standing and should be expelled.

As producer of the ausmini screen saver I feel it to be quite appropriate that your car be crushed and removed from the production. It is only a symbolic action but I really don't want to be reminded of you on my PC screen so you have been expelled from the screen saver.

makka whats realy (not good) ....slight word change
i dont think that the police have the time or resourses to make assigning an officer to reading every word written on ausmini every day in case someone mentions having an unroadworthy part on their car a priority.. I think they are stretched enough that turning up to major crimes can be a struggle when their numbers are so thin.. im guessing if they tought it worthy they would need a special squad to monitor carchat rooms..
what is not good is a car travelling into central surfers paradise with 4+ occupants all about 17 18 yo all sniffing fluid.. the driver , an 18 yo girl from memory sniffs just as the hit the main strip..
she blacks out and the car mounts the footpath that week an extended family were having a holliday out walking along the main strip mum , dad rellies and kids, the youngest slighty in front as she was in a stroller... I think you can see where this is going...... there is a funeral involved.... anyway the girl initially denied the solvent abuse and avoids being spoken to by police for somr time... but eventually the truth comes out.. by the time she has to go to court she has gotten herself pregnant probably so she will get a lighter sentence... now thats NOTGOOD

I think you'll find this is a case of a 14 year old trying to grow up too fast so he can fit in with the other guys on the forum.

Everyone talks about their life, their cars, cruisers etc.. He posted something he thought would get him a bit of attention, perhaps make him seem like 'one of the boys'!

Perhaps there is a lack of parental supervision that comes into play also..

Meeni you may of only been going 50km/h but that speed in a court or cul-de-sac is way too fast for an adult to be driving let alone a child that shouldn't be driving at all! Sorry mate..

i've not said anything out of all this as yet, but i gotta somewhat agree with Jeff. you're the one that has taken it too far. driving an unregistered, incomplete car on the road with no insurance at 14 is one of the most stupid things i think i've read. doubly so considering some of the stories that other people have shared during the week about how people's lives have been ruined due to similar actions.

if you don't like the reaction you get from people on the forum, either don't do anything so blatantly stupid, or don't post about it, and we'll just read your name in the headlines. it really isn't difficult to not do these things, so it's a good opportunity to start taking responsiblity for your actions. while you still have the chance to make your own actions, and you're not being spoon-fed.

all that said - if you really do want to earn the respect of the people on here, then follow the rules, serve your time, and do the right thing. i'm sure if you did all that, the people who are having a go at you would be the first people to congratulate you in a few years.

geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez.

How hypocrytical. Anyone that has restored a car on here, had it 99% complete and says they did not take their car around the block for a test run is a LIAR. The poor kid, was SOOOO proud he has finished his car and took it up the street for a drive. Congrats on getting the car going mate.

HOWEVER

Dude, It is really not cool to be driving the car unregistered, there is not insurance which can really wreck someones life. You could potentially really hurt someone and stuff up the lives of many people. It is irresponsible and I would not suggest you try it again

NOW

I am not having a go at you, you have spent a bucket load of money and time on a lovely looking car and of course you are DYING to drive it, Just saying in a way that hopefully doesnt make you feel like you are a pile of crap,, so that you dont get angry and think fk them i will do it again....that, you really should not be driving the car you could hurt so many people...but so could any of us driving our cars...its just your 14...

DaniDad

I offered my support and sympathy to to you your family and your family friends I think it is appauling and terrible and i honestly have great sympathy for you.

Telling a 14 yearold off so publically, in the manner that you did, will not stop him from doing it agian, it will make him angry and lead him to do it again in a "f**K them ill show them kind of way".....you CANT expect a 14 year old to comprehend everything you have posted and not take his mini for a little drive up the road. What he did was wrong and I am sure he has got the message....If you are serious about trying to make a difference (and i do not doubt that you are in anyway) the best way to get the point across to him is to explain your concerns and tell hiim it is not appropriate to do so.....Just because he is 14 does not give you or me or anyone else the right to speak to him OR ANYONE in that way. You catch more flies with honey than vinager mate.

Firstly: Congrats on getting the car going
Secondly: It seems that some of what has been said is sinking in and that is good. I know some of the words have been harsh but sometimes it has to be to get the message through.
Thirdly: I do not condone what you have done (as I stated on page 1), but IF you are ever going to do this again PLEASE do not tell us about it as the replies you get will be... well I can't imagine how harsh they will be. IF you do it again, treat it like a driving lesson with your father beside you... DO NOT do it in a residential area, take it to an industrial estate on a weekend when and where there is nobody around.

DaniDad

I understand how you feel as I have 2 kids of my own and I can guess how much work it is for you looking after your son as I work in a school with an integration unit, which has kids in it that have constant carers (2 need to be spoon fed etc.). I'm sorry but I have to agree with czerial in that it was a bit too harsh.
