Quality work hey? lol I would say its normal..

thats not normal.......normal is slapping a ton of tar shite over rusty floors, and 'thinking' you have cured the rust and prevented it from coming back. What you are doing is thorough, to say the least!

Keep it up!

My next resto (Pops) will be like that! 8)

Now here is a question for you all. noticed this the other day. This might be a silly question.. but this is my first round nose.. so got nothing to compair it to really. The id plate on the car has the body number stamped under it on the fire wall. they match... but the number stamped on the radiator pannel is different... any ideas? there is no way this car has been crashed at any time so it is all factory panels.... :?

when the car was registered in Australia,
the RTA didnt like the existing body number
so they stamped their own on the radiator
(something about formats and getting to the plate under the blanket)
if you have papers (of which i dont think you do) the radiator shroud number match the paper numbers.

the original BMC body number doesnt. thats sposed to match the log book number (of which i dont think you have)

No Duc, there are 2 lots of numbers on a roundnose body. The real one is on the firewall and should match the car's ID plate if it's there. The one on the radiator shroud is a production number used in manufacture, it is seldom the same as the body number above.
Hope this helps.

ps. to add more confusion, on the Clubbies the rad shroud number IS the body (now VIN) number.
