And there were some colours that came on Mokes from 1979 to 1981, so didn't appear on Minis.

Avocado, Blue White, Highway Yellow, Bahama Gold, Kraft Silver, Sahara Dust and Supreme White.

watto are you sure sahara dust was only on minis, cause i remeber over on the moke forum a guy had a saharadust moke but had never seen it before, And someone had a clubman with the paint sticker sahara dust

Hi Steve.

I said Sahara Dust et al were only on Mokes, not Minis.

I have seen a few Mokes painted Sahara Dust - a kind of brownie grey or greyish brown

The colour is only listed in my Duluxe catalogue for 1979 - 1981, so if a Mini has it, it is either extremely rare and must have been a special order befroe the colour was officially available :roll: or it was a repaint.

Of course, we all know that Leyland did all sorts of strange things, which makes it fun for historians to try and work out. :lol:
