Al,

Yeah, it will definitely be a Pommie one.

Thanks all for help.

Pics would be mightily appreciated.

I seem to remember someone in here saying there was some dude with a 970S in OZ.

Does anyone have any contact details?

By the way, my car is weeks away. 15 days to get import clearance before it goes on the boat. Nfi how long that will take.

Gives me time to reorganize the garage

Huh? An OZ one? Me dumb, from what I know they were all UK built cars. Did BMC Australia or whatever they are/were make a 970?

That would be Ivan glasby, at mini spares and repairs.

From memory his Rodesian championship car is a 970 and i think he has another one which is one number away from his brothers 970.

I wish.
Submitted the papers for import approval last Monday. Fingers crossed they will be approved within 15 days. Then 5-6 days on the water.

Will keep you posted.

Correct Bubba
Ivan's 970 is the one he raced in the 1969 Rhodesian rally, and won.

It's purple with yellow roof and yellow steelies, it was at wakefield but didn't race as far as I know.
There is a photo of it floating around somewhere here.

I also believe he owns another 970, aswell as a 1071 or two

Papers say that the colour is Tweed Grey with Old English White roof.
Trim is Dark Grey and Dove Grey.
