Looks like S discs are the way to go...
OK now about boosters.
Supposedly the human leg/foot can only amount 300 (psi or lb/f) units into the brakes, whereas with a booster you can get up to 1200 units.
Is this true?
And would you recommend me getting a booster?
Tony said that i can run them without one, and if i feel the need, can get a booster later in the piece.

A booster only lightens the pedal pressure, we have cars with & without, they make working on the car harder as they take up valuable space in the engine bay, im mounting the booster under the gaurd on our MK2 Cooper S

What to adjust your drums? Or (reading your post in Mini Mods) you two are left alone with an engine for a few days and figure out a way to adjust its rocker clearances?

Mike Jackson - here's a guy who doesnt adjust his own drums too.

willy...

drums are fine as long as you keep them adjusted. but if you have the cash and you cant be bothered etiher taking it to the mek's so often or doing it yourself, then discs are probably the way to go.

if you are going to get discs get new ones, for the reasons you raised in the first post on this threadl

I see nothing wrong with buying a set of second hand brakes.....reco them yourself, or pay someone else to do it...

Depends how cheap the old ones are!
I did up my old ones for Barney.
Rotors are $85 ea, drive flanges are under $100 ea, caliper kits and pistons are not dear either.
