I think it needs about 40 litres in the front drums to level it up.

no, just 2 more fat blokes that are going in it at the front! lol. an extra 160kg of Ballast should do the trick!

I wonder if the weight distribution is still going to be a bit wrong, maybe an esky under the bonnet and an empty oxy cylinder under the rear.

That pommie one had the windscreen out and two guys paddling through it - that would move some weight forward. Also some longer handles on the paddles would help as well

Nice work Brett!

Would you be able to sit on the bonnet and paddle? That might even things up a bit.

You have totally destroyed a great mini shell. For what a few laughs and a bit of fun thats gunnna last a few hours and then be no good.

Just look through the pages of basketcases that people are restoring and they are a lot worse than that. Then you come and show us a picture of a really good body and then what you have done with a 9"grinder

What a shame what a real shame, i dont know why you would be proud of that?

I wouldnt be

If it was a real basket-case it partially understandable, but that, thats the farthest from a basketcase you can get. I just dont understand, I realy dont

One of the reasons why I left this place for a bit, people think they could judge from pictures on how good a shell/ something was and bite????????

YERRRR RIGHT!!

I don't put pictures up on here anymore of things/ shell's because all people do is judge on here..

I say good on you Brett, will make loads of fun, and much better than what it was destined for :)

Guys guys guys... :) :) :) we all need to just cross over the anger bridge here :)

Can't we all just, get along? :)

Haters, stop hating... and haters hating the haters for hating.... are you guys reaaaaaalllly doing the vibe of this place any favours either? :) I say we alllllllll just chill the fudge out yeah? :)

I'm liking Brett's design over the pommie one... offseting the drums from the centre line of the car so that they hang past the wheel arches has made it heaps more stable... just look at the two videos side by side, Brett's looks heaps better.

Top job :)

i think it needs some sort of pointed/ tapered bow,,, like the front of a boat... it just doesn`t look like it wants to travel through the water nice,,, so if it had a pointy front it should push through the water better i reckon

shouldn`t be too hard to do yeah?

Mannnnnnnnn, what an awesome job!
(hate to see a mini die but this one has been exhumed)

- fit a submerged bow to it
- Get a loan outboard from a local shop, showem the youtube and they can brand the outboard!!
- a flag pole and jolly roger
- Put a firefighting pump in and a water cannon mounting off the hood.
- You don't need to be the fastest you just have to sink the opposition!
- Run a crew member along the bank with a donation tin and anyone who's a tightarse gets sprayed from the mini.

Every time a mini hits the media it good for the brand!
More Youtube please!

Awesome point! The only people I meet in my mini who don't stop me and say "I've always wanted a mini" are the ones who've owned one before

I reckon a heap of expanding foam under the back, between the drums and the rear beaver panel

I was thinking about a HQ Holden petrol tank under the floor in front of the rear drums.

Yep, and then half of them go "You got that right, would you sell yours?" and the other half go "Oooooooh no, uh uh... I'm not stupid enough to buy another one  "

Or maybe that idea from earlier on about the engine & paddlewheel setup in the front wasn't so bad after all.......
