New Hypatec pistons in +.020, +.040, +.060, 73mm or 73.5mm are under $200 a set, with rings. From Minis Plus, or Minisport.
Rebore + hone is $150 where I go, some places are cheaper but you get what you pay for.

1100S block with extra studs I think.

Seems to be about right looking at this one. . .I guess they just used up all the old Mk2 S blocks and when they were gone, shifted to 1100S units.

Any idea on the gearbox?

At that stage they were probably using up the last of the 1100S blocks.
By Jan 73 the GT was about to finish.
The Morris 1300Auto had been gone at the start of 72.
The 1100S (manual) went in mid 69.
So that only leaves the Export Moke with the Australian 1275 still in production in 73.

1206 is correct prefix for 73 GT. As stated no chest covers.

These are rare in Australia as most of these last Gt's were sent to NZ.

I think you should have a round hole in either side of the inner guard as well. (I think these were crumple zones)

So you should have standard style trim (ie non basketweave) its not the same as standard clubman, but very similar.

Laptop is just about to go flat so i will PM you tomorrow about your car
