Maybe we can call it "the cut off" bleed nipple?

I did, about 14 posts ago.

The callipers should bleed just fine, I had 2 of the nipples replaced on them so if you did the other 2 then they should all be relatively new.

The bleed screws were shortened to allow for fitting of contessa wheels but if you have changed wheels you can just swap the nipples for normal ones.

I just bled with a kit I got from an auto shop for about $10 that has a fitting that slides in the bleed hole rather than over the nipple. Like this -(http://www.toolworks.com.au/2369-bleed- ... g-kit.html)

You'll definitely need to do both bleeders per calliper, I had no problem at all getting a good pedal with the current setup.

I bled using both nipples today but i can't get a really firm pedal, I think its because there is still a little bit of air trapped inside.
i think 1 of the 2 of the outer nipples have been repair as there is a helicoil in one and just a normal thread in the other.
Do you know the size of the threads by any chance? I am going to purchase a couple of new nipples so i can do it properly.
Worst case i will drain the brakes and bring the nipples into the brake shop to get new ones.

You don't need new nipples. They will work the way they are.

Sorry but I'm not sure on the thread size, the engineering shop just did them. Definitely smaller than the standard ones.

Have you tried drip bleeding them Danny? Miniman got me onto this a while back. Have no trouble now.

Danny , sounds like your doing all this on your own , if so , is there any chance one of the guru's from here could possibly arrange a time to come and give you a hand

Obviously the brakes were working when you bought the car , ( i'm guessing ) ,
so unless you've done something major , they should work again .

As Fiji said , try cracking all the nipples and gravity bleed them ,keep an eye on the fluid level , when all nipples have fluid coming from them , lock them up and then pressure bleed them .

Figured out the problem... one of the "cut" bleed nipples were not forming a proper leak as one of the threads perished on it and i don't think it was forming a proper seal but there was no fluid coming out of it..
I asked the previous brake company to check over the other threads before they gave it back to me and they said it was ok..

I have now taken the offending caliper to a new brake shop in Penhurst and they are installing a bleed repair kit.

I have had enough of these brakes :/

I got the repaired caliper back from Brabond brakes..
They did an awesome job!
I installed them and flushed them and they are perfect.. I only have to move the brake pedal down 2cm for it to bite in..
I just need to get my pressure activated stop light to work again.

I ended up doing a mixture of drip bleeding and pipe into a jar bleeding.. My $90 vacuum brake bleeder did not seem up to the job.

It only took 8+ bottles of brake fluid..

A wife inside the car pumping on the brake pedal works better, but cost A LOT MORE!

Dude.... Learn how to bleed brakes... 8 bottles of fluid and a 90 dollar whatsit is a much more expensive way then asking a mate to push the brake pedal down then up for a few minutes....
