Pretty happy with my "fast road effort"

Image

1360 A+ , ported 7 port Pierce Alloy head, 1.5 rrr , GR 266.
Only thing I want to change is the gbox. Has A+ ratios & 3.1 diff.
Would be much better with MkII S ratio set and 3.44.

Still a very flexible engine set up.

how good is this topic ???

anyways,,, everyone is doin awesome here

But,,, i was just saying what i was saying being constrained by the $10k thing remember?

so i`m suggesting a very do-able, cost effective method

but hey? in saying all that, without the cost restraint, but keeping it pretty sensible still & within a reasonable budget--> i`m leaning toward a normally aspirated k1200 Bimmer twinky head ontop of a 1500cc mini donk with Yamaha R1 bike carbs & just an elecy dizzy

light f/wheel, heavy-ish clutch

std A+ overhauled box n 3.2 quaife

Mmmmmmm :-) still (almost) ol`skool :-)

You find the 3.1 too slow off the mark?

The HIGhER the number the faster it will accelerate and higher rpm at a given speed. It cruises at 100km/h at just over 3000rpm. To compensate for diff ratios like 3.1 , 2.9, 2.7 the A+ box have very low 1st and 2nd gears with a big gap between 2 & 3. 3rd and 4th are great , but 1st and 2nd don't go far. That's why this motor would be nicer with CR S gears and a 3.44 diff.
