Be aware some of the Hi-Lo kits sold now (in UK and here) are rubbish.

If you want GOOD ones I'd recommend either Karcraft ,or Matt Read `TheMiniman' on here.

Both these places are now getting their Hi-Los CNC machined from billet alloy in Oz, they are not weak and porous dodgy cast ones like some on sale.

Karcraft also brings in GOOD new rubber cones (Moulton/Avon).

Freight costs a bomb.

But, when you work it out it's cheaper in the long run.

If i'm doing big orders, i'll do them in $1000 lots.

A fair whack of that is postage, but if you punch the same items into an australian website, it's more than double the price from them.

I would suggest the kits that come with donuts, adjustable suspension, new bushes, new shocks etc

Poly bushes aren't much chop, but you can always flog them on ebay (same with rear camber brackets, unless you think you're a race car driver).
Buy new rubber bushes instead of poly ones from Karkraft, or similar.

A kit like this

I remember there being ones that came with donuts too, you would have to dig.

I buy all my small stuff from Karkraft

Including my last set of hi los.
Too bad the rear bars were bent like bananas.

Make sure you take a look at things before you leave the shop with them.

I wouldn't have left the shop with a slave cylinder with no piston in it if I took a look at it beforehand

Apart from a few other things, Karkraft are pretty good.

MG Heritage spares are great too

Cheers Drmini,

I have looked at Karkraft, but find their webpage to not be overly user friendly. Plus I am not a huge fan of sites which will not advertise a price, rather provide individual quotes only for sight unseen products. being in Adelaide it is a bit hard to drop in and have a look :( While they may be a great company, I am yet to test the waters with them.

At present I check out Minisport here in Adelaide or surf the web for prices since I am just starting out.

You can also get it in hardcopy if you prefer.

Karcraft are a major importer & wholesaler of engine, transmission & other parts for a large variety of vehicles, not just Minis.
Many of the Mini shops that sell parts to you (even in Adelaide), buy some or all of their stock from Karcraft. Ditto most of the Mini repair shops in NSW.

Yes Kev,
I imagine That could be correct, It would also be Correct I imagine, That Karcraft Buy From Some of the other Mini Spare Parts Dealers, That is how the system works,
Some of the other Mini Shops, I would Think come in handy when KC are out of stock
or do not carry the item You may require, Kev
I am NOT in any way having a shot at Karcraft They are Good at what They Do

I was in line behind a former President (and Nobel Peace Prize winner) while waiting to talk to the King today.
You don't get that at most Mini parts places.

We do not buy all our stock from KC??? Where did you pull this from Kev? If we run out of the odd item we may be forced to buy from them but 99% of our stock is ex UK. We try and have most things in stock and if we don't we will bust our balls to get it in for you (the customer)

KC offer a trade/resellers price as they are a wholesaler to some of the mini shops.... Kev I do not understand why you felt the need to even mention this? and to single us out?

I can vouch for this, as they accidentally packed their suppliers invoice in with my front valance panel, lol.

Andrew, I was not implying that Minisport buys much stock from Kc, sorry if I gave you that impression. I did say many, not ALL.
But many small Mini repair places buy from Kc, who ship stuff all over the country and overseas (as you do too).
