What a bizarre thing to say on a message board dedicated to a car designed in the late 1950s which had its heyday before 1970.

edit : Oh and massive fan of hydro - the front-rear coupled nature of the system brings sooooo many benefits, modern mcpherson struts seem harsh in comparision.

cheers,

Jacob

How different is the MGF hydro or the U.K. Metro Hydro?
Can anything be used off these systems?

The Metro's and I think to the MGF had Hydrogas. The Gas being used for the spring medium. The fronts on the Metro are independant and while the rears are connected to each other, the pipework was sized to be a restrictor in the system. The 'Hydro' part is really only a hydraulic adjustable HiLo.

For those who don't know but are interested. Hydragas was quite successful before the receivers moved in.

Pitching of the car under braking would have made you sea sick though.
