I would gladly pay $200 for a good Mk 2 Block with caps.I'll take all the Mk 2 blocks with caps you've got John. If John is online, could you send me an inventory of the Mk 2 Blocks that you have so we can work out a price?

I said about $200. I saw one last Sat with a SOLD sign on it with $200 on it.

Give him a call rather than half arsed dealing on a public forum (if you are serious)

No 1275 blocks with caps for $200

Good! I paid 1K for a block with correct prefix and matching caps 3 years ago. Happy to pay to replace the 1100S block.

The trick is finding someone who can line bore it without costing too much. Caps aren't hard to come by (make your own?) but it's worthless if the caps bind up on the crank when they're torqued down.

I have a few 1275 Blocks with Caps going at reasonable prices, however they are Not Mk2 S Blocks, I do have one only Mk1 Block with caps

I have a complete mk1 S motor I have been thinking about selling. Even has the original matching body plate to prove its a cooper S motor. How much would it be worth?

Looking at the 3 pics the middle picture shows straight down the bores looks like to me it has caps look in No4 cylinder and he's keeping them and the other 2 pics show the flange sitting in the air not flat on the ground

"Even has the original matching body plate to prove its a cooper S motor."

No need for a body plate to prove its an S engine - but with that you could fake the whole car.... So it has to be worth lots more....

Get thee behind me satan...

Not all of us have 850's  but yeah this is now a reasonable price to the right person, they aren't exactly dime a dozen these days in truth

Reading this ^^^ and looking at the photos I sent the seller a message and he has corrected the listing. It DOES have the caps. I am considering it but are they worth $500?
