hehe...

The big bore small block is a great little motor though, I love it..and I wouldn't be changing it if it wasn't for the fact that mine is dying and i've gone +60 on the block an can't go any bigger... easily..

So bring on the big..big block ...actually..two big blocks 8)

Don't chuck it away Josh- someone must have some 68.0mm Imp pistons (or similar) to resurrect it with!

<edit> can get `em from here- http://www.impwerks.co.nz/ price is P.O.A. though.

suzuki 750 motorbike pistons are 68mm now there is an excuse to build a screamer.
forged pistons on a 100 crank what a way to go.
we build a mini motor on a 68.26 strok and 68mm bore and made a 999cc 11000rpm scramer down the drag strip, used to run a 15.9 sec at altitude (6800ft) big problem we had is getting a cam that could go up that high, to my knowledge its still running around today as a everyday used car and still does the weekend warrior thing.

Coffee Table! - do an internet search and see what you come up with. I've seen polished aero engines and all sorts. Piece of glass on top and your away.

I think it's been on here before, there is a pub/cafe in Hobart called Joe's Garage (or similar) that has V8 cranks for stools, lots of motoring memorabilia etc. He has his old tools (ex mechanic owner) epoxied into dugouts in the concrete floor. Well worth a visit if you're ever in the area.

Graham Russell now has some flat top Hypatec pistons for 1098, +.080" :P
Just right for resurrecting a worn out 1098 block...
