90 day permit $136
just fill in log book get midnight to midnight = 1 day
true it took a long hard struggle to get it through
and any fool that abuses it get a real hard time from the rest of us
get caught no log book $722.00 fine
some clubs take 12 months to qualify
and need a RWC and need to keep it roadworthy otherwise club I duty bound to inform Vic roads
and must always be financial
is a great scheme .
also some of these internet type car clubs might be in for a surprise :) :)

I can't tell you how much I miss this scheme! Best in the country!

Conditional rego cost $62 + CTP which is based on vehicle shape, usage and area of operation. I'm not sure what the cost of CTP is, but it certainly is cheap enough to make it worth it. Most insurance companies (shannons, NRMA Classic) also offer a cheaper insurance for club plated cars as they are on the road less.

CRS rego fee includes CTP?
Each of my CRS cars cost me under $200 to rego and insure (with NRMA Vintage and Veteran or whatever it is called.

The victorian system is much more flexible. It allows you to drive the vehicle 90 days a year. You can drive it any day, to any destination, As long as you have put it in your log book before starting the journey. If you are caught without it being logged in the book, then you are hit with a massive fine. It essentially means you could have 4 classic cars registered for $544, and have 360 days a year that you are allowed to drive a classic.

No offence intended but I think you could argue that if you're on the pension you can't afford two cars?

*polite cough* depends which pension concession you are on......
