Yep, my Dad used to do it this way, he would have the reconditioned engine gearbox including hubs and road wheels, all ready to go on another subframe. Would swap them over ready for drive to work next day.

Be careful lifting body, from memory Dad used a piece of timber as a "spreader" holding rope either end of the bonnet closing panel.
