Which set up did you go with Town ride, Fast road or racing? I want the stance of my car to be low If I went with fast road can you get the car sitting low? I do like the race set up springs how low it sits.

Also did you fit to dry or wet sub frame, is it easy to do?

cheers.[/quote]
The kit I used was fast road, comes with hilos. I used wet subframes. Machined up a nylon seat for the rears. Used competition bump stops and larger custom droop stops, made from nylon.
It's not plug and play but not too hard if you have some mechanical knowledge. Here's a couple more pics.....

Hey bluewhite,

Doesn't the kit come with nylon seats? where do you fit the droop stops and what purpose do these serve? sorry for all the questions... I'm not able to machine any parts up unfortunately so if I need them will have to order them too.

If you don't have droop stops (or short enough shocks) when you go over a big bump or jack up your car the springs will unseat from the subframe and bad things can happen.

Traditionally that's why coil spring cars have a higher ride height, as you need to adjust the hi-los to keep the springs captive.

I didn't use the seats that were in the kit, they didn't seem to do what I wanted. I made mine to push fit into the hole where the hydro hose used to go. And a raised section which goes half inch into the spring to stop it from falling out. It also is an inch spacer to counteract the difference in length between the ball seat on the lower arm and spring seat.
Hope that makes sense. As Timmy said the droop stops prevent excessive lower travel. This stops the springs from loosing tension and dislodging.

I can't take a pic of the rear stops but it's is just a thicker version of the original tear drop stop that mounts on the subframe behind the trailing arm. I just cut them out of nylon and bolted in place.

would you mind posting a profile pic so we can see the ride height, is it correct that the ride height with coils is higher as Timmy201 says? I want the ride height low but if the springs have to be loaded up to stop them dislodging and as a result the car sits higher... that would put me off coils.

Cheers.

thanks bluewhitecoopers1968... can you get it to sit lower than that without the coils dislodging... nice car by the way.

Yes it will ride lower but I have found that for road use you need some suspension travel.... Unless you're happy to ride on the bump stops and shake the crap out your bones. Lol
