No you couldn't .. they're very brittle ; it would snap in half.

I realise people appreciate this but its just a note of warning if you're tempted to bend one when doing an installation...

Yes it would break, I'm not suggesting anyone try it, thats not what i meant. I was just trying to give an impression of how very thin they are and how totally different they are to the mk 2 style. Non structural, merely for appearance apart from the dash switch.
