Just to stick the knife in a bit more, one of my pet hates is those who seem to think that words ending in "ing" are pronounced "ink".
Does this mean they don't know how to spell or is something else going on here?
Some time ago, in a previous life, I even heard this on ABC radio in NSW and thought it was a peculiar NSW problem but it seems to be prevalent everywhere now.
The ABC has or had a department to train announcers/presenters on how to pronounce words correctly so what happened?
Doesn't say much for our education system as it stands at present.

Another possibility is similar to that used with Attorney General.

The plural of Attorney General is Attorneys General as it is the Attorneys that are plural not the General.
The same could be applied to Cooper S as it is the Coopers that are plural and not the S which is the model specific designation similar to the General part of Attorneys General.

I am not saying this is correct just suggesting this as a possibility.

It's called the "base" or "significant" word in this explanation that I mentioned earlier - https://www.englishclub.com/grammar/nou ... plural.htm

WOW
What a can of worms I've opened up with this topic.
I am, however, inclined to side with Watto on this question, and just go for adding a small s to the Cooper's upper case S, so that more than one Cooper S becomes a pair, or group of Cooper Ss. I know it looks strange, but at least it doesn't upset those of us who like to see apostrophes used correctly.

... and to add to the growing list of pet peeves:
1. Unless you're referring to the "days of yore" in your text, "Your" is the possessive pronoun, and "You're" is the contraction of "you are".
2. Cars have "brakes", people take "breaks".

my pet hate is people using 'myself', 'yourself' etc. incorrectly, it seems they think it makes them sound clever, but to anyone who understands the proper use, it makes them look utterly stupid!! note to anyone who doesn't get it, just don't use it!

intensive (emphasising): I built my gearbox all by myself, and I reckon it's the best gearbox I've ever used
reflexive: I taught myself to rebuild gearboxes by reading the workshop manual, posts on ausmini and asking questions

http://grammartips.homestead.com/self.html

the CFO at work put this in an email, and I wanted to slap him...
