Apparently we might be having a cyclone here in Perth.
Yeah right (bloody media hype).
So moved the Mini under the back patio next to the Clubby van to offer some protection from the destructive wind gusts of up to 100km/h.
Gosh I hope we are not all blown away....... [/sarcasm]

With the rear subframe out for replacement panels to be welded in (boot floor repair panel, valance and hinge panel), I have removed both radius arms today. They are both still servicable so a clean up with a wire brush and they are now ready to paint.

Next: painting the subframe

Cheers,
Nats :)

Put the dialback timing light on my mate's Cooper S, man I can't believe the timing scatter you get with a fairly high mileage motor with a worn timing chain and points ignition! It was moving over an inch at the marks!
So, to check the light I had to try it on my 1412 again with the belt drive- timing marks @4000 rpm were steady as a rock! 8)

Went for a drive to check out the A/C, 40 Deg and very dry here in Melbourne today, ( Sun.) put the Thermometre on the top of the passenger seat and drove around for a while, temp inside the car never got above 25 Degrees, so that will do me anyday....very happy with repairs to A/C and new switching and controls....

Hey Dave where did you get the cloth loom sleeves? Great looking shed too, want to come clean mine. :)

Hi - it is not a sleeve but the braid. The front has a colour highlight in it in it (supposed to be yellow but turned up blue) while the rest of it is just black cloth. This is the loom that I bought from Minispares UK:

Just wondering the purpose of the carport inside the shed?
