Hi fellow Mini-nuts, I'm Rod, I live near Geelong, Clifton Springs to be precise and I love Minis. I owned a Mini K years ago but it got into a fight with a cement truck and got squashed - I wasn't too healthy either. Anyway, I now own a '78 Clubby thats taken me back to my lost childhood - yipee!!!!

Simon, from Wellington, NZ. Got a Clubman & a Clubman van. The saloon is going to get a new-ish rear quarter (bought accident damaged), and the van needs bare metal resto.

I'm 37, graphic designer. Used to be into motorbikes and still ride a CBR600FP which is a fanastic bike even though it's 11 years old now. Lovely balance. Anyway, I love minis, and ya gotta have a hobby, right? A few of my friends have no real interests purely for themselves. One guy has been banned form playing golf by his wife - mine is always encouraging me to work on the mini. And my daughter (3 yrs old) loves it, even though it's not fully road legal so we just drive around the block...

Samuel, 23, Hobart type, IT dude (or pretends to be), 850 Mini, Lancer GSR, HR Premier parked here too. HR doesn't run, Mini doesn't stop and GSR needs about 300HP. :P

Howdy all, Tone from Hobart. :D
I wanted a mini in High School. 20 years later when the missus said "get yourself a small second car", I finally got one! A green '77 clubbie with more wavy bits than straight bits. I plan to do it up next year (2005), but that means I'll have to stop driving it for a while - I'm not sure I can do that!! I love it! Best car I've owned and I've had 28!! Would love an older round nose.
Ever seen an mini in space? Visit http://icc.homedns.org/edge/edge.htm and you will!!
A full Mini section comming soon too, featuring Mini's from the 2004 Tas Mini Fest and the restoration project as it unfolds.
Great forum dudes, kutgw
