Got the Quaife ready to drop into the Gearbox. New A+ 1275 block almost ready now, its getting bored 40 thou oversive on Monday to make it 1310. Its got a Graham Russel cam, lightened flywheel, 40mm Weber, ported head, etc, etc. During next week we will also repair a little bit of Rust in the mokes floor, to get it roadworthy again.

two(2)
head gasketts in 2 days daughter1and 2 cars first one first day alpine tour and second on the second day
we had a good weekend

trouble was while fixing second one dropped phone and stepped on it :(

Pulled the project gearbox apart.
Wedged it in the garage door frame so as to undo the drive pinion nut.
It was very tight.

Well it wasnt today but on the weekend...

I found (bought) a 12g295 head fully reco'd it, which was something I had never done before, and fitted it to te express. No exta porting or anything that flash...time for that later.

Amazing though how much more go a good head will give you :D

Bryan, i was about to ring you in the next couple of days because i had just found you 2 12G295 heads. One fully reco'd and one in very good unreco'd nick.

Not just today but doing a full nut and bolt resto on my 64, droped front sub frame , new rubber cones hi Los top arms spax adjustables, Meg camber bottom arms adj tie bars , new rack car is really starting to look good and really stating to get impatient cause I wanna drive it so bad .

Don't know how to upload photos! Got an awesome bargain with car ! Bought it fo 1700 bucks interior is in mint condition , minimal rust , 1275 disk brakes twin tanks ! Will be awesom when it's finished got the head at machine shop bigger valve double valve springs got 1.5 roller rockers getting big port job ! Just can't wait to drive it
