Hey Mick,
Notwithstanding the faffing around you've had to do with straightening it out, where did you get the side trim from? I can't find any local supplier listings i.e. Minisport SA etc. I'll be needing some for a Clubman soonish.

Cheers,

I'm not sure as it was at the motorshow, and I picked it up from a random supplier's stall. I can tell you it definitely wasn't Mini Imports because he gave me a bollicking for not picking it up from him ( :P I didn't know you had it in stock Josh! ).

All the suppliers have it however. Its as common as on the shelves. Both in the fluted S style, and the non fluted standard shape. Give your supplier of choice a call.

Yesterday pulled the clutch cover off to change the thrust bearing.

Realised i had left my trolly jack with Roald in NL, so used the engine crane to lift engine in situ.

Went to rapeco and bought the omega trolley jack today. While i was there, i got the cheapo red tool chest, bearing puller and a rechargeable LED magnetic worklight.

Off to Eastern Creek to watch some racing now.

:D

Started polishing my roof. It's looking shiny now!

And then i accidentally scratched my nicely buffed and equally shiny rear panel. :(

Cut the floor out of the KhanaMoke.
Soon learned that folding steel by hand, as a sub 80kilo male, is not very doable.

Took the Crudman for a fang, filled it up. Got told by the 7/11 attendant that I: "Very nice dressing"

Have to soon learn that it is all about leverage - i.e. get a longer lever on your folder and you can out muscle the man of steel :)

after yesterday fixing the Carb up and making Marcia go quicker off the mark I went and filled her up with cloths and blankets for the Salvos 7 Garbage bags worth, The Van was doing what it was designed for 8)

Picked up a HIF44 and cleaned it up. No its not going to be a Bling carb but its going to do the job

Loved driving her around every where during the weekend

Discovered a lot of bog in a new boot lid, waqsnt really happy but at least i have all panels now, finally.

Realized i now need a spoon dolly, slide hammer & washers.

Stripped a lot of paint with a grinder & etch primed it straight after.

Handle on folder, HAH!
Don't make me laugh!

Tried quickly with some bits of RHS and a few G Clamps.
Not exactly a folder per-say
With some more muscle it will work!
