is your LS running again with the big block stuwey?

i've seen willy's car, and stuweys car and even with a head start its the LS every time

Um 1275LS... always had a big block lol.

LS has big cam, big head, big freakin bore.
Few thousand spent on the motor.
Just recently.

Mines just a smokey, tired old clapped out 1098 that someone claims to have spent $2000 on (before i bought the engine, from minitech) as a rebuild.
Yeah ****ing right.

The only races that you've seen has been when stuwey has had his new motor in. It was "slow" (compared to what it is now) back then, when we used to cruise a bit.

Ryan, how much did ya spend gettin ya work done on the 1098

yes, but when else can i call a 1.3L a big block?
$1000, gearbox is crappy tho.

whats the story with your car willy? where'd you get it from, and the motor, how much did you pay

Revelations:

Back in may 2004? yeah.
the old 998 crapper in it when i bought it (in jan 04) was rooted.
so i got it replaced.
just before i had my Ps.
Went to morris mania, he said bout the 1275s and disc brakes, so it put me off a bit.
Thats why i went 1100.
From Kev... big kev.
$800 was the motor.
"Rebuilt in '02."
Thought that was good.
Bought it.
Installed, everything all cost me $2000... ouch?

The car... i've explained in another thread.
Was bought from my close mate's dad (decd.)
He died just before completing the car, so i finished it off.
I ended up paying $3000 for the car, and spent 500 on finishing it off. That was before the 998 got replaced.

Yes... mistakes, mistakes.
Only live once tho.

But evidently the old 1100 does go fair hard for what it is.
And definitely isnt stock.
With 210 pounds of pressure in each cylinder.
So yep.

What bout your life (mini) story.

first car/mini - from minisport $2000 for a mini deluxe with 1100cc from mini K, stock motor worn, mags and eventually extractors and race exhaust. still competitive with jap sports cars etc with very crappy spaced drum brakes, very quick due to close ratio gearing and wonderful centre exit straighthrough exhaust
quicker in hills than -
180sx, Rx7, silvia, corolla 16v, Lambo Miura (yes)
also had pioneer "12 sub and 4 speaker system and custom interior/sound deadening.
clutch worn, and huge speeding fine whilst blowing away a starlet GT
so sold for $2500

$800 non running clubman from minisport, was originally green, was gold when i got it, and i painted it black, fixed the fuel pump and brought her back to life, got the brakes fixed and was reliable if rough transport, 1100cc stocko motor
quicker in hills than -
charade turbo, supra turbo A
brakes gave up the ghost, i nearly went up the back of the supra on the uphill of old norton summit, no brakes as i hadnt used them yet, got on the dirt shoulder and saved it.

$550 non running clubman from mooman
took all the best bits from the black car and put on the orange one, was going to use the motor, but ended up selling the black car for $1000.
got the 1100 in the orange car going by replacing the burnt valve, but the clutch was fried, and the oil pressure soon dropped, i removed the motor, and bought the stinking hot 1100cc and dropped it in myself after tidying up the engine bay a bit.
retrimmed the interior, added carpet, cd player and the hotwires etc.
this one has also got really great spaced drum brakes, but the exhaust, and front wheel bearings need doing, and i broke the ignition barrel so its not going anywhere atmo.

only been really fanged once on the mini cruz, so no scalps yet..
faster than willy, and as fast as stuwey in the LS, so i'm happy with that for now.

well thats another story..
yeah minisport are good, they will sell you a cheap dodgy mini if thats what you're after :)
usually they get them in crappy and do them up and sell them for a fair bit more.
minisport always have minis for sale, which is why i always go by when looking for a mini.

yeah i think so :D

still, my minis keep getting cheaper and better and newer
because i couldnt find a mini for $1000 (which is BS cos most are crappy)
i bought a toyota celica mustang fastback for $1000 to get me around in the mean time

soon as my gf buys a rover mini from steve, i'll get the green granny clubby and i'll piss off the celica because my brother doesnt want it (i bought it for him anyway)
he wants a galant vr4 so yeah.
