One time the cop walked around the truck about ten times looking at eveything, he asked me what was leaking on the ground, I told him it was beer out of a leaking keg (It was diesel from a crack in the fuel tank) he said "Oh, that must be what I can hear hissing" (it was a leak in the air suspension) So he wrote me a ticket for a bald tyre when they were all OK. I got off cheap. 8)

nice one..... I got off easy once in my MK1 Escort, I'd been stopped for doing 91 in a 60 zone (30 over in Victoria means your license is taken away from you) the cop walked around the car, must've noticed 2 bald tyres, one of which was perished and hard as a rock, and a cracked headlight - I reckon he just knocked the speeding fine down to 89 to get rid of me without the extra paperwork

tough luck Dixon.... but it all works out for the best

Yeah I thought the tyres were a bit rough. The oil leak was also bullsh*t, the other day I spilled a heap of oil on the block, and the cop looked at it and said oil leak, I told him I spilled it and he said, nah thats looks more than a spill. It's just really demeaning to have someone take everything you say as a lie, oh well sh*t happens.

Basically what I'm gonna do is get another pair of tyres for the rear, keep the old A008s. Fix the door handle, clean the engine and then bend over and take the list of stuff to fix when it goes over the pits.

As someone else mentioned earlier, I will give the car a good clean in and out and adjust the brakes.

Worst part of all this is I was well keen to try out the doc's new stubstacks! I think I will still give them a good go.

I will tell you what is real fun, it is when you go over the pits and the bloke gets out from under the pit with a big spot of oil running down his forehead.

Thanks mate, I think I will still buy a bike, a mate is selling a Cagiva Mito 125 pretty cheap so I might snap that up and take the mini off the road, fix it up slowly, but surely. I love it way too much to sell it.

The unlucky saga continues, I went out last night to celebrate the finish of exams, so I parked my car in the street. When I came back to drive home in the morning, there was a note on my windscreen from the police saying my car had been tipped on its side, and that they hace tipped it back for me.

So now I have big dents in my passenger side door, and my beautiful bullet mirror is crumpled.

Worst part is my mate told me to park in the claremont train station and I told him no way it will get tipped over in there, so I parked in a street in claremont. irony  .

I know its rediculous, I remeber someone saying in another post about word getting round that its a "funny" thing to do. If that happens, it will not be safe to leave our minis anywhere.

Mine was parked outside of Christ Church Grammar school boarding house (supposedly the most expensive school in WA), bloody little private school wankers, I bet it was some of those kids.

Seriously this tipping of minis has got to stop. The door that was damaged was a mk1 door in really good condition, these doors aren't exactly in abundance these days...
