Yeah the Japanses started making Mambas after the original factory stopped & the main difference is where the valve comes out of the rim, the "Real" ones come out straight from the outer rim & the Jap ones come out of the black bit & on a 45deg angle

& here is the Japanese made alloy rim, made to "look" like the original "S" rim but also to fit 8.4" disc brakes under (beside) them,,, they have a massive offset to allow that to happen & because of that they are very hard on wheel brgs

No Sorry they are not Mini wheels they were orginal mine and sold to Low n Blown. He had to Mod them

They sold them drilled for mini's as well , I know a few mini's up here that had them . The company mainly did wheels for race cars (formula Vee I think ) but would drill them for whatever application you asked . They were a smaller company around Wollongong I think ???
He used to make a lot of 13" Formula Ford wheels (as he was a Formula Ford driver) but he also made five spoke wheels in 14" and 15"

I used to buy my race wheels from him in the early 90s. I don't know if he is still going.

Are you sure these aren't Ultralights instead of superlights 5.5x12
Image
And here are some Performance, Superlight in 7x13
Image
(more pics at http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x314/kennomini/ )
I know their is a slight difference between the Superlight and the Ultralight mags, the spokes are either rounded or have the sharp edge.
Other than that it is a very impressive site, you deserve a pat on the back :D .

these are the other japanese S copies - these do have identical dimensions as standard S rims, and are only designed to fit over 7.5" disks. They are made by 'Griffin', really really nicely made wheel.

Image

both types are now sold in UK by Minispares (wide offset) and Minisport UK (standard offset). The casting sold in UK seems minutely different, in that my wheels have a solid metal valve stem, and the UK sold ones have allowance for a rubber valve stem.

they are 38 pounds in UK - dead cheap I reckon

hmmm, not so sure about this one....

Image

I wonder whether you'd have to cut your guards to fit it... actually, it looks a bit like something that stole willy's JUN-BL rice cannon a couple of years ago....
