Fitting a set of Hi lo's without a compressor....Jack car up by the sub fram and axle stands, Undo Everthing regarding to the top arm and the Rubber stop under the same arm (you may need to replace it) you may need to fiddle with a jack to get it out

Jan..I don't see how they are Heavy Duty....I'm Questioning if normal Nuckle wil fit..They look similar to mine from Minispares and they required a sleave to fit :?

Gaf, the MiniSPARES ones are OK. Yours are MiniSPORT Adjustarides, they take a funny size knuckle pin. Rather... they used to, until I bushed them for you.. 8)

Ok so tomorrow i am going to try to get the old cones out and put in the hi - los
without using a compressor. I had every thing undone on the top arm the other
day and i got a call from a mate who said he had the compressor tool, so i put
it all back together and then he didnt even have one. The mini car clinic at padsow
sell the tool but they want $115 bucks for it, and for basicaly one use i dont see
the point. Any ways i will let you all know tomorrow how it goes without using
the right tools. And new nuckles are prob the way to go.
I got my hi - los from karcraft at $231 for the set, then i needed the rear hydo
strut for the rear, then i got new nuckles as well, from the people at padsow as
karcraft didnt have any of the rear struts, costing me another $120 ish. Mini clinic
sell a set of hi - los including new nuckles and the rear strut for $295 (thats for
the front and rear) But the hi - los at mini clinic are a little different from the ones
at karcraft, from the look of them the ones at karcraft look a little better but who
knows???

Let us know if you have any problems Gordo. I wont try put mine in until I have the shockies to go in at the same time.
I was just going to jack it up (by the subframe, thanks to Gafmos post) then keep undoing bolts till I got the old cones out. I think they are new cones, and all the suspension was in bits with all new bushes, shockies out, etc when the brakes were done, so hopefully there wont be any stubborn bolts.

Umm, so the cones that are in there now, they come out and stay out, and are replaced by the HiLos?

ie
Front - remove the existing cone and replace with Hilos
Back - remove cone and trumpet and replace with HiLo and extension bars?

Would I do the shockies before the HiLos or easier after?

Shocks arnt hard to put on id say do them after the hi - los that way
there is one thing less that can get in the way... Also to get my correct
ride hieght i need to put a motor or something of the equivelant weight in
the front as the rubber donuts have risen cos the motor has been out for
so long... Does anyone know the approx wieght of a mini motor and box?
Ill have to put some bags of sand or somethin like that in the front to get the
rubber donuts to compress, so i can achieve the right hieght. Then to see
if any more of the guard needs to be cut off....

I got the front rubber cones and the cone struts out and left it at that. I left
the cones and struts out and let the car down on the bumpstops, Now the
van is sitting a little less than an inch from the ground. All i have to do is get
the rubbers apart from the strut and replace the strut with a hi - los and there
is the front done..

They do, do a kit for the clubby but the front spoiler is a little different,
and a bit more expensive... And personaly i like the look of the round
nose front spoiler better than the clubman one.

That van kit is a Zeemax kit.. Majic do on also though i think. The kits arnt to badly
priced but getting them back over here is a costly exercise also though...
Just email them and they will reply with one back telling you how much..
