The bloke (and his family) currently in the house across the road is in the Air Force. He used to work for a european car restorer of some sort in Sydney. One day I came home and there was a gorgeous Citroen DS (in green with a white roof) out the front of the house. It belongs to an old customer of his, the owner was driving it home from Melbourne and it started misbehaving, so he left it there for the guy to fix!

The lady's father was visiting last weekend and came over and chatted to me - his first car was a Mini K, and he told me how he was unknowlingly chased for about 15 miles through Sydney by a cop in a Cooper S. When the cop finally caught him, he said "how did you get through the traffic! I couldn't get through?!"

we're posted in wagga wagga atm and we're FINALLY moving to Newcastle on the 30th of this month... So the race is on to get this little sunshine to come to life before then

only problem is that her engine wont fire up... We're getting spark etc but have failed for a week now trying everything we can think of. Got Tim from Riverina sub branch of NSW coming by tonight to see if he can work his magic...


Picked up my door cards and rear parcel shelf from the upholsterer guy this morning and I am super stoked! Didn't think it could look that good...

Hsve just put basic coat of black gloss paint on her just to get her past blueslip, then once were in newy i'm getting her sprayed properly in Royal Grey (BMW Cooper colour)

It's a defence housing place but they have super high standards
And it passed the test with hubby because it has a 2 1/2 car garage and he reckons the mini in being parked in the workshop nook (the "1/2" part of the garage) lol

I was hoping there were a few in the area... I just submitted my membership paperwork to miniclub nsw, what sub branch do the newy people hoon around with?

"Dicko" from this forum is just up the road from Corlette at Nelson Bay.
He is also rebuilding a leyland Mini.

We dont have a sub branch or anything like that, just some people that get together every now and then.
