Could it be that the 2K was put on over the top of acrylic? A big indication on that doc, is when you mentioned that it had fried up.
Acrylic over 2pak, never the other way round.

Well I was told it was a bare metal job, but I found underneath the grille surround it isn't, there is red paint there.

My red Mini and some others on here (pristic's, Benjamin's, for example) are 2K over acrylic, but there's a lot of 2k hifill in between. :lol:
It's common in the repair game, nobody wants to refinish repairs in acrylic any more.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, a cheat that some use when spraying 2pak over acrylic is to lay down 2K sealer first. I reckon its done quite a lot, but is not recommended.
