Deepest sympathies to Dan's family and friends , he'd only just started to live .

Nothing known for sure Ian, but we suspect a brain anuerism, or something like that.

Yes, for me a sad, sad day when young Dan passed away, and the Mini community and indeed all who knew him will be poorer for his passing.

The funeral is on at 11.30AEST on Friday at the Burpengary crematorium.

I would just like to say thankyou on behalf of Dan's family for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers.

Cheers,
Tricky

My deepest sympathy to all his family and friends. So sad to hear such a loss to the mini community.

Hi All,

Just thought I would let you know I attended Dan's funeral today, and it was well attended with lots of Dan's friends and of course family.

Dan's family would like to pass on their thanks for the many kind words and thoughts you guys have conveyed over the past few days.

I am hoping Dan's brother Andre will jump on at some stage and thank you all personally.

Dan's Dad made particular mention of Dan's red Mini, and how the family will now complete it as a tribute to Dan. I hope somewhere along the line I can offer my services as well just to say thanks.

Cheers,
Tricky

I didn't even know the guy, but its definetly upsetting to hear of someone that young passing away, espcially someone in this pretty small mini community.

Thoughts are with his family and friends.

Make him proud with the Mini.

I wanted to attend Dan's funeral today, even tho I didn't know him personally, I guess I just wanted to pay my respects being part of the world of mini that he/we all love so much, but in the end I guess I just felt it a little inappropriate to just rock up!

Tricky, was it at the funeral place near the roundabout at the end of morayfeild-uhlman road?

A very tough day for the family. Although I never knew Dan, my thoughts
were with the family today. Rest in peace Dan.

I have read this thread about 20 times since it came up but have not known what to say. Makes me sad to think that someone so young can be taken so quickly. My heart goes out to the amily and friends.

This might sound weird but I have told my family that if I die before my mini is finished they have to finish it for me. Once finished they can burn/sell it for all I care but I want it finished. On other forums I have heard of people finishing off peoples project cars as a bit of a tribute to the people the recently deceased. If this is the case and we can donate any parts/time or anything let us know. I would gladly chuck in some cash or parts that I can spare and I reckon a bunch of people on here would also.

I don't mean that to sound rude or weird so please don't take it that way.

DC

Yeah, that's the place - it was a good turnout!

No sweat there mate.

Floss - I know what you are saying, and no, I dont think its weird. I will be donating my time etc to make this happen. Its a kind of unifying thing for the family, and when its finished, its something to remember Dan by.

Cheers,
Tricky
