Keep in mind that people who tell you to sell it; are the people who aren’t in the classic car seen.
Anyone in the classic cars or muscle cars etc... will appreciate to your car regardless which brand or model.
Plus Mini is not only a cute classic car but also has got proven motor sport heritage

1964, 1965, 1966(questionable), 1967 Monte Carlo winner
1966 Bathurst winner

Sell it when you tell yourself to sell it.

Don't live to please other people, live to please yourself.

You know you're gonna keep it :-)

Umm

I kinda can see what they are saying. IF you are going to follow through and get it fixed or fix it - it can be very rewarding, BUUUTTTT...if you are going to not get it done and keep putting it off for more "important things" - sell it otherwise it will break your heart.

Just decide are you a Yaris man or a mini man. If your answer is mini say goodbye to a great slice of time and money. If you do it be aware of the time and money you are commiting yourself to..

Vader i remember you giving me a ride when I was in sydney a couple of years ago (remember???) and i know you absolutely love that car.

The reality is, it's old and it's going to be expensive.

But the heartache when you've poured all your money into it, the skinned knuckles you get, the sore back, the empty pocket and bank balance... it's all worth it and you know it.

Everyone who is telling you it's a POS or to sell clearly doesn't know what they are missing. You know who does though?...

Don't sell, you will regret it. get something you can drive every day, and keep the mini as your fun car.

think back to why you first bought the mini.

hold onto that moment.

tight.

THATS why you should sit there, stare blankly at people when they put your car down, and just silently think "f__k you and yuor opinion" in your head.

so so true. its those little moments when everything goes right and you're cruising round corners that makes it so worth it

This is true for EVERY classic car owner/driver.
Theres always someone telling you to buy something 'reliable' even though they have mostly never owned (or gotten any pleasure out of driving and sitting inside) a classic car on the road.

Yeah, sure its old, but just be as cautious as you can and understand that the drivers in modern cars take risks and let them get to the traffic lights those couple of seconds before you (and use twice as much fuel). :?

You dont have to have airbags, a squillion KWs and crumple zones to be safe, have fun and make some new friends who wont tell you to buy something else. :!:
