physics would dissagree with you.

He said "can be", not "ARE".

His 1100 is faster than my 1330 that's for sure

But yes, lets get back to the original poster's problem shall we and not make it a philosophical debate about best power.

In reality by far the most power I've seen in a Mini and ever would want in a Mini is a Starlet GTi conversion. They break driveshafts often and easily so that's about as much power as you'd want in a mini surely??? No A series of any sort is going to make 220hp ATW??

If I had a clubby I'd go Starlet Gti in a jiffy, but I'd be so scared driving it  when brad (dus13s) took me for a drive in his car, I was genuinely scared and I already own a fast mini

I think they were comparing a bigass turbo 1152 to a NA 1330, not really both apples then, are they.

You guys have taken it wrong.
YES a smallbore CAN BE quicker, depending on multiple factors.

Ill end this now... with the SAME work done, same type of work, etc the big bore wins... period. ie/ Why would I want a 1275 with my current setup otherwise?

The old saying about no replacement for displacement is true, no matter what, for the SAME work done, the big bore produces more torque and HP... simple.

Hope that clears up what I meant... still happy to take on any big bores that come my way :-)

Pete
