Delorto for the win !!!!
We have ours on a 7inch manifold through the firewall :D

Makes good top end, but drives very well. Pulls clean from 2500 - 7500.
Once tuned they are fine. Finding parts for them, and finding someone that actually 'knows' what they are doing is a little hard.

As for the look, what looks tougher than a carb sitting though the firewall ?

Tad loud in the car
If your like me, then you fuggin love it !

For parts I always use www.dellorto.co.uk.
I got sick of places in Oz making promises... yeah we'll get it in....fail. :x

Me too! Teflon sounds like the right stuff for the job.

Another not unimportant thing to look at is the availability of good manifolds! The best carb is worth nothing if it has to breath through a crap manifold... IMHO there's a lot more good manifolds available for Webers than for (twin-) SUs.

Unless...

Nice one, Janspeed dual manifold, for twin SU's or side draft Weber/Dello. I copied that years ago and by using an adaptor plate bolted 2 x HS4's to a 3.5" weber manifold. Ran real well, better than stock BMC twin SU manifold. Never did properly sort it tho, reckon this would be a beaut set up if properly sorted on a dyno.
