Sounds like it will be alright to knurl... Its a legitimate fix (the doc I think would back that). Short of making custom guides I reckons its a safe bet... and not hard to do either
Brand spankers. Actually after I blew a hole in an exhaust valve way back then the head was crack tested (and found cracked, and welded). It's been through a lot this head, and survived. So,

I actually have a good 202 head here, but I'm rather fond of this '295 so I'll get the guides properly fitted and press it back into service

I measured the valve stems this evening, they've all got less than one thou wear on the stems, so although I'll replace the exhausts the inlets will go back in.
It'll get a hot tanking before the seats are recut, and it may as well get another crack test for good measure, there's no rush to have it back on the road as long as the Hilux gets me around
