Single row timing chain!

That's not an ausmini spec 998cc
I'm sure the Doc had words with you about that!
Looks good anton. I did a similar thing on mine but in red.

Yeah it's a brand new UK made `pre-worn' chain. They just don't make 'em now like Renold Chains used to. :x

here I am thinking green?!?!?!? WTF??

Then I realised you roundy folk didn't know that clubbies had BLACK motors

So in theory, this IS original  But I think Clubbies had the gearbox painted black too :? (yuk)

Thanks for the feedback guys. Hope it runs as well as it looks!

Actually i think originally the engine was as you have it. (i could be wrong). A good original spec! Looks great mate. I know mine aint gonna be as nice as that, but hey i just want mine on the road again. I will be interested to see the beast, as i think that once you reach the 30 year mark you will probably be still eligible for club plates. Nothing stands out so far as not eligible. Maybe a big sik Red Neon under the car is in order!!

Cheers

Aaron

Peter T was asking about it, and he seemed to think it would be eligible.

I kinda want full rego though (if I can afford it) :?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Hey KB.....single row chain is lighter.....that equates to better 'power:weight'

Bullshit, sloppy chain equals points scatter, equals less power, champ. Outweighs any weight saving on your part I would think. Spouse your gunna tell me you're running a lucas dizzy now too?

Just cause ya couldn't get an IWAS endless chain on one particular day, ya girls blouse! :P

At least the Doc has timed it in for you.......... :D

Black engine in red car= 8)

As joyous an occasion it will be when your car is officially unveiled, it saddens me to think that in six months time, gone will the days of being bored on ausmini lead to "Let's see what JAM has done recently".
Sort of like the end of a good movie or book, the end seemed so far away when you started, and now it's come all to soon.
We're going to need somebody else, or you again if you're up to it JAM, to get a full restoration going and keep records and everything as you have done.
I'll be doing a rover mini next year, but I don't think it will have the same following as an
Australian car like yours.

Keep up the good work, you're getting closer!

awwwww....thanks maaaaate 8)

I know exactly what you mean! What will I do when it's all over?? :?

It was like my TV thing. They filmed for 3 months, then said it was about 10 months till it will air on TV....so that was something to talk about and look forward to. When it was over....... :? .......it was 'different' :(

I can always strip Pops and restore him
