I was quite the opposite a few years ago, but have come to understand it as I have seen a few mini businesses fold. Northern mini parts (for good or for bad, and its just ONE example) had a couple of dozen sliding window doors hanging up upstairs. All gone now.

That along with the sea of individual and more everyday parts have gone for evermore. They may be on a farm in north east Melbourne somewhere, at least what has not gone to the scrap, but all the same I can't just role up at a moments notice any more to get myself out of a bind with a broken mini.

And Winabbey will know the feelings this conjours up...

Northern Mini Parts are still in business, and they still have most of the stock that was in that shop, I don't know why people keep saying they've 'folded' and 'it's all gone'.
I've said it here and elsewhere more than once, but for some reason it keeps falling on deaf ears.... I'm not having a dig at you Mick, I just want to make it clear to everyone here that NMP are STILL going and STILL HAVE almost everything they had when in their old store.. they have simply Moved.

I honestly didn't know
News of Northen's death has been much exagerated it seems.

They've got a website, address and everything. Very modern.
I'll make amends by putting Northern into the Mini Parts Suppliers list. There's a start.

No worries, I'd just like to keep the business name known to be alive, the last thing anyone wants is more businesses going under.. As for it's 'death', I believe the thread that started it was more of a farewell to the shop site, not the business itself. I spoke up in one of them, but not sure that many heard.

It's a pity NMP took all their marbles and went home from Padstow (Sydney).
Many members south of Sydney bought their parts there.
