Next question:

I got a new rocker cover which currently doesn't have a breather on it. I still have the breather on the tappet cover which will be plumbed into the air filter case. Will this be ok, or should I get a breather take off tapped into the rocker cover?

Up until now the tappet cover was connected to the rocker cover and airfilter case with a T-piece.

I would plumb that breather into a pcv valve on the manifold, or to the vac port on side of the carby. If it doesn't have on there it is easy to add.

Q1. it's a late 850 by the sound of it, with the Oz built 850 motor.
Q2. Yes it's a deluxe one.
Q3. Morris 1100. Mini Deluxe or Mini K lever will drop in.
re the lever slop, there are various wear points in the linkage, the motor needs to come out to fix them all. Check the bolts on the toggle linkage (on top of box) are tight. Replace the 2 bronze bushes in the diff housing.
If the ball ends of the linkage are worn, most parts are NLA, but you can get them built up with hardfacing electrode and polished back to size.
Q4. Pry the engine about, if it moves replace the steady rubbers. Also jack it up check the mounts.

Also has a floor mounted headlight dipper switch as well 8)

Q4. Check your driveshaft couplings and CVs aren't worn out and rattling about, could just be engine or gearbox mounts as the good Doctor suggests, but it would pay to check.

This is the carb that is fitted (except with an airfilter box). I have the vacuum advance coming off the little barbed pipe, I don't have anything on the yellow/pink pipe at the moment.

You're a little late for this question! It was the remote extension rubber mount that had torn all the way through. I'm installing a new one at the moment, along with new engine mounts, engine steady bushes and driveshaft couplings!

re that remote rear mount, make sure when you fit the new one that there is NO gap between the bracket and the mount before you tighten the nut on the stud. Push the bracket forward after fitting and retighten the 3 bolts, if necessary.
If there is any gap there the new mount will shear off quick smart. Been there, done that... :x

Or I bolt the Mount onto the extension before bolting up the bracket :)
