That's Southward's museum. That is an excellent museum. I spent a fair bit of time looking over the Moke in 2005. Do they still have the car from the Woody Allan film Sleeper?

Cheers,
Watto.

Fair 'nuf.

No Mick, they used to have one of the futuristic bubble cars from the film and it was on display directly opposite the Minis and Moke.

I think it was from Sleeper....maybe another film. It was 9 years ago and I can't find the photos I took of it. I took a heap of photos around the museum but can't any of them - damn! Particularly also liked the gangster's car (can't remember whose) which still had bullet holes in the bullet-proof glass.

As for the 200-year-old Beetle: one of my favourite lines from Sleeper, when they find the 200-year-old Beetle abandoned in the cave (or was it the sewer?). They hop in, Woody turns the key and the car starts instantly. He turns to the girl and says, "They really built these things.."

John, I think you're mixing two era's. Be careful and don't use forum opinion to supplant legislative requirements. As you mentioned you're looking to use this thread to base the sale statement in your catalog. The ACCC recently revised their guidance on country of origin labelling which will help businesses comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) when making country of origin claims. Understand the ACL has superseded the Trades Practices Act in this area.

The ACL provides ‘safe harbour’ defences for ‘Made in’, ‘Product of’ and ‘Grown in’ country of origin claims. If goods satisfy the criteria, the business is deemed not to have engaged in misleading or deceptive conduct or made a false or misleading representation under certain sections of the ACL. Businesses that do not qualify for these defences are still able to make country of origin claims provided they are not false, misleading or deceptive. The ACCC’s guidance provides information and examples to illustrate when businesses can rely on the ‘safe harbour’ defences in the ACL.

The Country of origin claims and the Australian Consumer Law publication is available on the ACCC website.
