Mike he's describing the crank moving in and out, ie. the crank pulley moves endways when he pushes the clutch.
It may not be as bad as he thinks- Ha-ha had a bit of crank end float before I stripped it, turned out to be only .008" but was clearly visible.

As above. He can see movement at the crankshaft pulley (fan end). Visible movement is a no no.

Hey Steve, just for shits and giggles i looked ta mine last night as i had to adjust the two nuts on the plunger as they were not hitting the housing and i looked at the crank movement in mine and to see if i could see much and there was not much at all i could barely see any but i could feel it, were you able to see it yourself is is this what the mechanic told you?

Holy ****! :x
Man I would be pissed if it was mine!

Tip- After you fix it..
Don't use a flywheel bolt locktab (too soft), tighten the bolt to 140lb/ft, use Loctite 262 on the threads.

I just did a search and found out who built the car........ and that person, who happens to be very quite of late on here(funny that) should be ashamed of himself. Once again there is an "Expert" taking people for a ride! This guy had better own up and pay to sort the mess out or he will soon find himself in alot of people bad books.

Aaron
