Installed the bigger fuel tank connecting pipe last night & fuelled it up, then filled the rad this morning before driving it to work.
Back on the road again! :D

Took the Mini for a bit of a run to check out exhaust noise with the 380mm long hotdog I added this week.
It has taken most of the (excessive) bark out of it. Sounds like a Cooper S now. :P
Also, the cabin boom at around 70-80kmh is way less.
Power seems the same (bloody heaps!!).
Now to add some soundproofing under the bonnet /on the firewall. 8)

No faster than usual.
I'm trying not to draw attention to myself noisewise when Mr/Mrs Plod has his/her laser fishing gear out down the road from me (regularly).
Let him/her concentrate on pinging the noisy ricers, bikes and falcodores instead. 8)

Is this on top of the hill at Vardy's Road?

They are there more often than not, I almost got pinged there in the moke

Instead they lowered the gun and just watched me sail past
Probably wasn't going fast enough to get booked anyway, but it sure feels like it when you're that low and exposed to the elements!

Fitted rear seatbelts. Fitted front drivers seatbelt. Fitted headlights. Dummied up drivers seat to check positioning and work out what modifications need to be made to the subframes to get the seats to fit/work in a reasonable mannner. Could be extensive and heaven help anyone who wants to sit in the back.

The gradual rebuild continues...

They get on Vardys rd near Bosch Hydraulics, also going west outside Reece/7-11, also going up the hill west of vardys rd public school.
But they regularly camp just down the road from my place in that little cul-de sac on Joseph Banks Drive with a hand held laser, and ping people coming up the hill with the sun in their eyes.
Sneaky bastardos... they have a white Hyundai iLOAD van now as well as the candy coloured HP Dunnydoors, so watch it.

Went and visited my mini today in the workshop
Fingers crossed for a blue slip on Monday
Unfortunately had some dramas on Friday cause the compliance plate has a different number to the body and the old rego papers?

Put a new rocker cover gasket on.
That stopped the little oil leak.

Started the day off thinking I had a stuffed battery……ended up being the starter motor.
Spied two old geminis at the wreckers a few weeks back.
Lucky for me nobody had pinched the starters off them, the first one relinquished its starter in less than ten minutes as the head had been taken off.
The other one put up a fight, but after some blood, a lot of sweat and a hell of a lot of cursing……. I scored two starters for thirty five bucks each.
Got home degreased and picked the best out of the two and fitted to the mini in less than twenty minutes. :D

Fitted the seats on their newly modified subframes.

The new felt inner seals arrived and I scrounged enough clips to get them happening. Finished installing all the glass on the drivers door and put the trim back on. That was a bitch of a job. I think I did some things in the wrong order which resulted in much cursing and more scratched paint around the doors than I'm happy about. Hopefully the passengers side will be significantly easier with my new-found wisdom.

Spent a few hours getting the paper work sorted and finally obtaining the rego.
All set to go now, just need a wheel alignment and tune. :) :)
