Had the day off today and Went for a drive to "The Shire" to show off my mini to the painter as he hadn't yet seen it all completed, then went to Chipping Norton and then home via t,he M5/ harbour tunnel.
Do love driving this car
With the 3.1:1 diff it looks like its doing about 30km per 1000rpm in 4th so it's great on the motor ways and loves the hills. :)
Now back home, washed the M5 grime off and safely tucked away in the garage until the weekend.

Unlike you Micheal, I am about to load the Cooper S onto the trailer and take it back to Kens. To get the Clutch sorted, once and for all! Its been a bit Dodgy for years. and has finally cried enough.... Now why couldn't it have happened a few weeks back when it was at Kens... :?

Just worked out my fuel consumption after driving around today and on Sunday.
Drove 177 miles and used about 5 gallons, therefore = 35mpg or 8.03 l/ per 100km
Happy with that as it was a mix of motorway and stop start traffic

Received 1 of 4 packages from the uk containing parts..
I removed front and rear windscreens yesterday and had them professionally refitted today. The guys that did it were a father and son team and they knew their stuff.
I also put in a new coil, new tachometer and spax krypton shocks all round.
