Went to the workshop and dressed up in work clothes. No parts yet :-( Looked at the Mini, moved the bonnet, opened the doors, closed the doors, assessed the quality of the last nuts and bolts I tightened. Grabbed a rag and wiped my hands (even though not even dirty or greasy). Sat on a seat and grabbed the new Mini Modifying book I bought and had a read for and hour or so.
Come on parts.... i am bored......

Is that horn up the right way? I just put mine on but up the other way. I would have thought having it that way would make it less horn, more gurgle which is why I turned it over... Or am I wrong?

No idea, that's the way I got it, tested out the horn (thought the horn was in the wheel boss, then discovered it's on the stalk lol) a few months ago and it was really weak, then i think it spat out some dust and it sounded fine. And now it's not really working again, so I'll just get a new one and probably mount it downwards as I imagine dust and water would get in, but may be wrong. Did yours have it up as well?

Played with the Hydro height. Managed to get a grease gun type pump working, which suprised me. Will have to set the final height once the motor is back in.

Gave it a wash, rolled it back in the garage.

To be honest I can't remember. I had mine off for so long now and only just put it back on Sunday. Perhaps a flick through a workshop manual might be in order...

I have a couple of Ford horns. I might mod them to fit (Slightly smaller and lighter) and bolt those on instead of the pathetic wheeeeeze I get now. :D

Put on some fake Cooper style plastic chrome side trims to hold on the new body colour matched flares that I FINALLY got around to painting. Had some new spotties turn up today too (weekend job).

Finished off a few bits and pieces. Most exciting of which was the fitting of the dash. It'll still need a bit of tweeking, but hopefully I'm only a couple of weeks away from a blue slip!

Not the best photo...
