I've just heard from 666 , he said he's getting out of mini's for a while and needs a more modern and reliable car so is buying a charade for every day use but still loves mini's and hopes to get back into them one day when he has more money for tuning etc .

So is there anything wrong with the car?

I've driven minis/mokes as dailys (with no backup car) 6 years now this month and they've only left me stranded 3-4 times which isn't too bad. Maintenance of course is another matter but that's to be expected.

by what nick said it sounds like a blown head gasket, also the carb needs a new needle.

pretty simple repairs and cheap to fix really,

but nick doesnt earn any money so thats why he keeps selling his minis, he just runs out of money and sells.

nobody wants to help because it would be a waste of time when he doesnt show the capacity to keep a car for longer than a few weeks.

i dont want to see him sell this mini, not again.

But that's only your interpretation of the car , anybody seriously thinking of buying it should get it checked out by a mini friendly mechanic as you should with any mini purchase . Do brickworks offer a warranty of any form on their 2nd hand motors ?

He said he didn't attend to 'an overheating problem' it had on his behalf so in this instance its entirely his fault.

Maybe if he pulled his head in and realised that working for $10/hr is reasonable, he might be able to keep this mini, and own Minis in the future.

Cmon Nick... get a willy , how many more times do we have to tell you not to swear on ausmini ? Next time , I'll delete whatever post you swear in . job, fix this mini, and keep having fun.

No worries , so there is possibly/probably a head gasket and cooling problem for the purchaser to deal with then , still , as said earlier , mini buyer's should get an inspection on any mini they want to buy .
