I know of only 2 things good about a Camira.. :P

1. You can drop the clutch out the bottom to change it, no need to rip the gearbox out like most Jap FWDs. You merely pull the input shaft back through the gearbox to clear the clutch plate, unbolt the clutch and thar she drops..

2. Camira discs can be fitted to a Mini, with a fair bit of work (as Honda Civics can too).

Isn't the Camira a one time winner of Wheels COTY?

Sure was.

But then, so was the EA Falcon.

Of course, Wheels would never be swayed by a bit of corporate incentive...

Cheers,
Watto.

The P76 was far better car than the EA falcon - with better build quality as well

And it was the V8 P76 only that won the COTY.

According to the revised history. Wheels went through a re-write of history after the Murray Publishing Group was taken over by the evil empire (ACP)

The six cylinder was a very smooth engine, I would have one if I had the room. :D

Funny, I see them all the time - it helps that there is one in our street but even then, I think I see them quite often.

My Dad had couple of (also J-Body) Vauxhall Cavaliers when I was a kid, so I always look at the Camiras to pick out the differences

Sure, then sell it to TG so they can destroy it in the name of entertainment.
