:? Out of interest sake, has anyone tried to fit these..?? Needless to say, the plans are a good "guide" but they take a lot more work to get them all fitting in nicely. Tried today and it would seem the best way to do it (in a roundie) is to get the base board to go from the back of the rear seats all the way to the lip of the boot, then the rear bulkhead goes ON the base board, and then the two sides slot into the sides to hold the bulkhead up. With the bulkhead all the way to the floor of the boot the bits dont sit in right. Also the width of the base and back need to be played with as too do the height and depth of the sides. Get the base as accurate as you can because this will determine the fit of the rest of it. Also get some thick cardboard (there is this nice white stuff that is easy to cut and looks like the side of a box) to test it all out before hand for the fit, but when you are using cardboard, contemplate the WIDTH of the wood you are going to use AS WELL AS the thickness of the material you are going to cover it in...

Thats my 2c worth. I just hope passing around these plans hasnt cost anyone heaps of wasted wood, time or effort..!

Hey, Dont actually have a mini to put one of these in  but ive taken them to be stored away for hopefuly the not to distant future.

Anyone actually built these yet? how'd they turn out? the centre console looks very similar to one found in many adds in the "mini world" magazine and they are asking like 25pounds or something...so share your sucess or not so succesful story?

Thanks Topher

Yeah there is a guy flogging off pretty much the same things on eBay at the moment for $10 each. I bought them both, but thought the investment would be better passing them around to everyone for nothing   8)

I had a go at the boot liner after toying around with the plans at home on cardboard. As above, the plans are not THAT accurate, but are a good start. My advice is to leave cutting wood till you are happy with the shape and size of the cardboard cut outs. Pics soon hopefully of a completed one.

CZerial and I had a go one afternoon but we havent finished them off.

Dook done his and finished them off, but now cant get them back in the boot.

If anyone is doing a working bee, I am happy to come along to finish mine off. At the moment its a good work in progress template for others. Its all cut out and not covered.
