That's interesting. I can't say I've ever actually checked the speed pickup sensor.
Guess I'll do it tomorrow with a drill or something.

Thanks for the positive comments. I'm fairly pleased with how the dash turned out. It took a lot of planning and time. :)

I spent a few days wiring this lot in, with multi-pin plugs for easy maintenance. The dash and cluster are held in with torx screws to make theft of components more difficult.

The dash itself is stainless bent to shape on my workbench and then covered in dense thin foam from Clark Rubber with vynil from Spotlight over the top. Pinchweld from Clark Rubber tidies the edges.

Top Left guage is combined Oil Pressure and Oil Temp.
Top Right is a Tacho
Bottom Left is Temp
Bottom Right is Fuel
Main guage is a VDO electronic speedo, that is easily calibrated.

Warning lights are Left Indicator (Green), Oil Pressure (Red), Cooling Fan (Yellow), High Beam (Blue), Right Indicator (Green).

Yes, I can see all the gauges through the steering wheel. :)

Headlight switch is Narva and the Hazzard switch beside it is from a Triumph.

The extra switch beside the cluster is currently used for a Cooling Fan override, but may later be used for Fog or Driving lights instead. The interior light and cigar socket are just from Super Crap. The DIN pocket above the radio holds three CD's.

The glove box came from Whitworths Leisure (a boat shop). It has two fold-down cup-holders on the front. This was a real find, because I really really wanted cupholders in the Moke.

I want to add something above the glovebox to use the empty space. But I'm not sure what yet.

Cheers,
Brett.

I would be very interested if you could find out Harley. Mine may just be a duff sensor.

By the way, I had to file the speedo cable end a bit to make it fit in the sensor.

Cheers,
