Sorry, computer F**ked up.

I meant the claim bonus wasn't mentioned. I get a new windscreen each year though if it isn't my fault. I could use one now actually.

Duc, Dave has moved on to the accounts section now, not involved with the underwriting side as much if at all anymore

Hey Minimad, the person you should have done all of your negotiating through goes by the name of Chris Zerial....well i did tell everyone to call me while i still worked there...but if your not entirely happy give them a buzz and work something out, but i doubt you will get too far!! they may be great but at the end of the day they are still an insurance company

doesnt the rego fee cover third party personal injury? stuff?
So bloke is driving with no cover of anything at all?

Here it is about 75% of the total rego fee, so we cant get away from it?

oh thats all?

Do shannons really like 18 year olds? cause on all the forms i see, for a quote or something, they always say? I think, if you are under 25 forget it? :?

Rego fee here used to include 3rd party personal injury (ie to other people).
Now the `greenslip' does that and it's compulsory. No different to Tas or elsewhere really, you still pay.
What they are discussing is 3rd party property insurance. That's what insures you against hitting Lord Muck, totalling his Merc & getting your ass sued for it. No it's not compulsory- but in my opinion it should be. Too many irresponsible people out there with no insurance, their attitude is "WTF.. so sue me, I got nothin'.."
ps. it won't fix YOUR car but at least you won't have to pay out to fix someone else's.
Some states you can get `3rd party, fire & theft' cover. NRMA etc don't offer it in NSW, I never could work out why.

Same in SA when I was there but all this seems to do is give 1 insurance company the whole states third party injury insurance in NSW you are free to shop around for the cheapest and the one that best suits you (although they are probably all the same).

There is at least an incentive to remain competitive other than for the government tendering process. Also I reckon that loosing that big a slice of income for an insurance company would be bad and so they might try to cover that risk by raising premiums elsewhere?

My 2 cents

Yea so i've been told :P ...I wasn't really paying attention here though until you bloody left! haha

I'm happy enough, i've payed this years, so i'm not going to quibble over it, just thinking about when I reknew it at least.. I'll put it on a limited k's thing and try and get it listed as modified..

I'd like retention of the wreck and track coverage too..but my car's too new to qualify for free...is it worth a bit to get those generally?

I just looked up the guy I dealt with yeears ago.. Tony Kay...ring a bell?

All our cars apart from my truck are insured through Shannon's

Mk1 Cooper S is $100 to insure for $20,000
Wife's mini clubman $300 to insure for $7500
Our turbo 4WD Galant VR$ $800 for $15,500 (thats really cheap)

I can't belive people on here will happily drive their cars around uninsured, imagine doing substancail damage to a rolls or bentley!!! It would take a life time too pay off.

Doogie

Minis don't roll unless you HIT something, and as long as U stay clear of the pit apron coming onto the straight, there's SFA to hit at Wakefield Pk!
Anyhow there's always the `accident on the way home' option...
